Hawaii Trip

Things I would do on a return trip...
-We stayed on the westside of the island and loved it.  However, I loved the chill atmosphere of Paia and would look into staying there or Wailea for the beaches.  
-Maui is very crowded, but has superior beaches if you want to swim. 
-Road to Hana is absolutely worth it!  (Buy the Shaka Audio Tour for enjoyable commentary and learning about the history of the island.)  
-Old Lahaina Luau is a must if you go to Maui. 
-Car rentals were running out at the airport, definitely book through Turo! 
-We did not spend enough time on the Big Island, and I really enjoyed this island.  There are a lot of family friendly things to see there and a week is probably necessary for this island. 
-Try banana bread, whenever it is offered or available.  They are all so good! 
-The Manta Ray swim in Kona is a MUST!!! It is a core memory. 
-We had reservations for sunrise at Haleakala, but ended up going for sunset because the weather is more predictable at this time of the day.
